The platform became a shared space of the future
Over five years, Futurating was translated into all languages of the world and turned into an international platform where people from different countries together described desirable futures. This was not just a technical update of the site, but a new way of public dialogue: everyone could write a postulate in their own language, read ideas from other peoples, and see how a single development map was formed from different cultures.
The world did not become identical — it became more understandable to each other. Ideas about the school of the future, urban transport, medicine, artificial intelligence, culture, ecology, and new professions no longer remained within one country. A postulate from Russia was discussed in Latin America; a proposal from India found resonance in Siberia; a city initiative from Perm became an example. Futurating helped people talk not about anxieties, but about opportunities that could be turned into projects.
How the world map of ideas was created
First, a multilingual version of the platform was built: the interface, categories, author profiles, postulates, comments, and ratings became available in different languages while preserving meaning and authorship. Then a system of local communities appeared — by country, region, city, and topic. After that, a map of the future was launched, where ideas gained geography: global, national, regional, urban, or interregional.
The next step was the Futurating mobile app. It made participation easier: a person could read an idea on the go, rate it, leave a contribution, subscribe to an author, see ideas near them, and propose their own action. The platform was no longer just a website — it became a daily tool for participating in the future.
My contribution
I developed the platform’s architecture, created interfaces, the idea map, translation system, mobile app, author dashboards, ratings, comments, subscriptions, and the mechanism of personal contribution. I prepared technical solutions for partners, connecting the platform with educational, regional, and international projects, improved the SEO structure, design, and usability of publishing postulates.
Contribution of ANO “Image of the Future”
The contribution was in the content development of the project: bringing together experts, partners, authors, and educational initiatives around the idea of a constructive future.
Futurating has become not just a resource about the future. It has become a place where a person from any country could not only imagine a better image of tomorrow, but also honestly write: what exactly they are ready to do to bring that image closer.
