The Futurating platform has launched cooperation with representatives of Mexico to create a Spanish-language international direction, Futurating LATAM.

On May 27, an online working meeting took place between the Futurating platform team and Edgar Lozano Vargas, General Coordinator of PUMA Association / Mexclar Cultur from Mexico. The meeting continued the agreements reached earlier at the Open Dialogue Forum in Moscow.

The main topic of discussion was the development of the Spanish-language version of the Futurating platform for Mexico and Latin American countries. This is not just about translating the existing project into another language, but about developing the Spanish-language international direction Futurating LATAM within the unified Futurating platform. This direction will have its own expert, educational, and public agenda but will remain part of the project’s overall ecosystem.

International Direction of Futurating

As part of the cooperation, the launch of a Spanish-language version of the platform on the subdomain latin.futurating.com is being discussed. It could become a platform for authors, researchers, students, teachers, experts, public organizations, and business representatives from Mexico and other Latin American countries.

It is planned that Futurating LATAM will develop as a space for publishing ideas about the future, analytical materials, expert columns, forecasts, public initiatives, and projects related to human development, technology, education, culture, economics, and international cooperation.

Universities, Experts, and Youth

Special attention at the meeting was paid to working with universities and youth audiences. The Mexican side proposed developing a network of partnerships with universities, holding online and in-person events, essay competitions, student forums, expert meetings, and educational projects.

This format aligns with Futurating’s mission: to involve people not only in discussing the future but also in shaping specific ideas, images, and initiatives that can become the basis for positive change.

Technological Foundation and Platform Development

The Russian side is ready to provide the technological foundation for launching the international direction: platform infrastructure, subdomain setup, technical support, interface adaptation, and functionality development.

At the same time, the platform’s core and source code remain the intellectual property of the Futurating project. Work on the Spanish-language direction will be carried out with the technical support of the platform team.

Possible Information and Institutional Partnership

During the meeting, possible formats of information support, interaction with universities, the expert community, cultural and educational organizations, as well as prospects for involving Russian and international partners, were also discussed.

A separate direction could be the preparation of joint materials, interviews, educational programs, online meetings, and events dedicated to the future, human capital, technology, a multipolar world, and cooperation between Russia and Latin American countries.

Next Steps

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working communication and move on to developing the first practical steps: the structure of the international direction, technical launch, composition of the working group, format of interaction with universities, and a possible memorandum of cooperation.

The launch of Futurating LATAM could be an important step in the development of Futurating as an international platform that unites people, ideas, and future projects from different countries.

Futurating continues to expand its horizons — from a Russian platform about images of the future to an international space for dialogue, cooperation, and joint design of the future.
