Representatives of the team and author community of the Futurating platform took part in the international essay competition of Open Dialogue — a project of the National Center «Russia» titled «Future of the World. A New Platform for Global Growth».
Their works were presented by Egor Komyagin — developer of the Futurating platform, Elena Kuleshova — General Director of ANO «Image of the Future», for which Futurating is a key project, and Severina Komissarova — author of postulates on the platform.
The competition became part of a broad international discussion on how the world could develop in the coming decades. Four areas were in focus: investment in people, technology, environment, and connectivity. For Futurating, participation in such a format is especially important: the platform is being created as a space where the future can not only be discussed but also formulated, evaluated, refined, and turned into a public agenda.
This is precisely the approach underlying Futurating: the future begins not with abstract forecasts, but with ideas that people are ready to discuss, develop, and implement.
What essays were presented
Egor Komyagin presented the essay «Investing in a Demographic Future: A Pension Ecosystem for the Global Majority». The work is dedicated to a new model of the pension system, where a person’s value is determined not only by seniority or position, but also by personal contribution, active longevity, learning, a healthy lifestyle, and participation in society.
Elena Kuleshova prepared the essay «Science Fiction as a Foresight Tool and Architect of Consciousness: The Author’s Perspective». In it, science fiction is considered not just as a literary genre, but as a way to prepare society for the future: through modeling scenarios, ethical dilemmas, technological risks, and desired development images.
Severina Komissarova authored the essay «Antifragility of Generation Z: Education as a Complexity Simulator». The work is dedicated to a new educational paradigm in which young people learn not only to acquire knowledge but also to act in conditions of uncertainty, crises, rapid changes, and complex social systems.
Elena Kuleshova presented in person in Moscow
Based on the competition selection results, Elena Kuleshova was invited to participate in person in the program of the II Open Dialogue in Moscow. She was among the essay authors presented at the pitch session of the thematic vector «Investment in People», which took place on April 27, 2026 at the National Center «Russia».
For the Futurating platform and ANO «Image of the Future», this is an important step: the ideas developed on the platform in the format of postulates about the future are reaching the level of international expert discussion.
The participation of the project’s representatives shows that the topics raised on Futurating align with the global agenda: development of human capital, education of the future, demography, culture, technology, and the ability of society to think through possible scenarios in advance.
Futurating is not just a platform for publications about the future. It is a space where the language of the future is formed, new meanings emerge, and people gather who are ready to think beyond the horizon of current events.
Futurating will continue to support authors and experts who offer substantive, bold, and practically significant images of the future. The more such ideas appear in the open space, the higher the chance that the best of them will become not just texts, but real directions for the development of society.
